About Us
- Did you know that over 80% of females have or will suffer from menstrual cramps?
- Did you know that over 40% have or will experience them every month?
- Did you know that 35% of women say that their pain has been severe enough that they had to miss work or school?
- Did you know that Endometriosis affects 1 in 10 women between the ages of 15-49?
- Did you know that menstrual cramps are the #1 reason teenage girls miss school?
These numbers are outrageous but when you change out the percentages with actual human beings – they become devastating.
There are roughly 7.7 billion people in the world and approximately 3.9 billion of them are female. Women typically menstruate from ages 12-52 which means that there are currently over 2 billion women that menstruate.
This reflects an estimated 800 million women are suffering every single month.
If these numbers still aren’t making your jaw hit the floor – let’s talk about our young girls. Studies around the world verified that 71% of adolescent girls suffer from cramps and 20% of them miss school because of them. The statistic that really gets me is 33% of girls who aren’t sexually active are taking birth control to help alleviate menstrual pain.
I am not against birth control by any means, but I am disappointed that birth control is the “band aide” for these young girls. While birth control works great for some, it isn’t a solution for all.
Now keep in mind that I am not a doctor. I gathered all this information from well-known sites such as Mayo Clinic, NIH, Womenshealth.gov and more. This is the data I gathered after I searched the good old internet for hours trying to find a product that would provide some relief for menstrual cramps. I wanted something that wasn’t a pill or have a bunch of chemicals in it.
My wife, Melissa, was one of these women that needed a solution. She was diagnosed with Endometriosis years ago and I would watch her suffer through excruciating pain every month.
Now this girl was a born athlete. Last time she had knee surgery I watched her take Ibuprofen twice and then walk the next day without any complaints. I have witnessed her unbelievably strong pain tolerance over the last 10 years. However, when it came to her monthly period, she was debilitated. She would take Ibuprofen every 6-8 hours for days. There were times her pain was so bad she would throw up. It was horrible and there was nothing I could do.
One morning she woke up at 2 AM to get her prescription ibuprofen but it was empty. She woke me up to tell me she was going to the store to get some over the counter anti-inflammatories and would be right back. I felt defeated. I should be able to help her. That is where my idea to search for a product came in. I didn’t care how much I needed to spend, I just wanted something that was going to help her.
I remember searching things online like “how to get rid of menstrual cramps,” “products that will relieve menstrual cramps,” “is there product that provides pressure, heat and massage to help alleviate menstrual cramps?”
I wanted something that wasn’t a pill or had a bunch of chemicals in it. This search was an epic fail. What? In 2018? How could that be? How does a product not exist when there were over 800 million people suffering?
That is where it all began.
I decided it was my duty to help these women. I know that there is no “one size fits all” when it comes to relieving pain, but I do know that the more options people are provided, the more likely women can find a solution. When I couldn’t find anything, I decided to take matters into my own hands and I asked her what helped.
- Pressure
- Heat
- Massage
In the process of inventing this product, I worked with numerous women, OBGYN’s, massage therapists and acupuncturists. I wanted to make a product that would help as many women as possible. We went through multiple prototypes and tested it on countless women for over a year. We have seen some incredible results and we get messages regularly thanking us for giving these women their life back. That is our mission – to provide a product that will help these women gain a better quality of life.
How does it get rid of cramps?
- Pressure points relieve menstrual pain. Your lower abdomen has four main pressure points that can relieve pain, a method often used with acupuncture and other relaxation methods. The PMS Belt applies pressure to all four of these areas to maximize pain relief.
- Heat brings blood flow to the surface of your skin and muscles. With The PMS Belt’s 11 heating nodes applied to your abdomen, blood flow is improved and pain is reduced.
- Massage helps relax your muscles. Cramps are caused by tensing of muscles. With soothing vibrations, The PMS Belt applies steady massage to relieve contractions quickly.
- Last but not least – The PMS Belt is portable and includes a rechargeable power bank.
The PMS Belt is designed for women, by women. We want to help as many women as possible who suffer from menstrual cramps. Women shouldn’t have to experience this much pain when they are trying to be successful in their lives. We want to help provide that relief so they can continue to live their lives.
We understand that when there is a new product people are hesitant to purchase it but we invite anybody to read some testimonials from our customers that are on our website and Facebook page.
